In-City Garden Sanctuary - Capitol Hill

Challenge
The clients, both avid gardeners wanted a lush, elegant, colorful garden that welcomed family and friends. The original landscape was over-grown with large shrubs and trees and a lawn that dominated the space.

Solution
By editing the existing trees and plants (relocating, pruning or removing), the existing plants show to their best advantage and lend maturity to the garden. We reduced and recontoured the lawn to create graceful lines and beds and added colorful foliage/textural plants as well as seasonal blooms. The work in the garden has been installed in phases and is a true collaboration between the clients and designer.
